My club football memory of 1966 is being taken to my first ever live game, along with a friend, by my dad who wasn't really a football fan but took us to Deepdale just after the World Cup to watch Preston North End beat Birmingham City 3-0.
I can still remember Alec Dawson scoring 2 of the goals as I stood on the terraces behind the goals on the old Town End. A couple of years ago I met Alec at Deepdale & all the memories came flooding back from that September day in 1966
