10 - Attending the World Cup Final Ken Peache: a late ticket, bought on Friday afternoon

On the day of the match I answered a ring on my doorbell at about 10.00am and a friend, named Bob Clark, was standing there and asked me if I would like to go to Wembley with him for the final of the World Cup. He worked in London's West End for an advertising agency who had sent a motorcycle courier to Wembley with cash, as there were still tickets available for the final on Friday afternoon. We went to Baker Street in my MGB roadster & onto Wembley for the Match.

I still have my ticket & programme which are framed & hanging up in my house. I am eternally grateful to Bob for giving me the opportunity to see the game & have an unbelievable story to tell friends & family.
