12 - Following the Final at home A Collection of memories of domestic destruction while watching at home

My favourite memory is when the winning goal was scored and everybody jumped up in the lounge with their fists in the air and broke the main light glass fitting. Jane Blake

My first memory was of the 1966 World Cup final. The moment when Geoff Hurst scored his third goal my dad jumped out off his seat punched the air and hit the ceiling! I thought this was hilarious, I was not quite three. Mark Coates

And a Bobby Charlton memory from earlier in the Tournament: Watching at home and when Charlton scored I leapt up and kicked the coffee table across the lounge! Keith Wilkes
