My mates and I went to Trafalgar Square after the match in an old world war 2 jeep. We had 4 cans of party 7 beers and we shared them with the police on our way down the Edgware Road. Great memories. Colin Ryan
On the day of the World Cup final I was an 18 year old hairdresser working in Lewisham. We had the transistor radio on but it was on very low so I was straining to listen between customers. I think I missed the winning goal. In the evening I went into London with my then boyfriend, we had a great time singing and dancing and we thought the team bus would be coming along but it never did. What a great night we had, don’t remember what time we came home. It was great to be part of the whole thing. Melanie Phelps
My memory of the 1966 World Cup final wasn't of the actual match but of heading out of the house & into my mates back garden to replay the game. We were both 10 years old & the events of the day encouraged me to start cutting up the next days newspapers & to begin a memorabilia collection that has lasted 50 years. The boys of '66 made such an impression on a 10 year old that all these years later nothing has come close to matching it. Paul Ellis
