We were travelling through France en route to my 1st holiday in Spain, with my parents.
My 8 year old younger brother was asleep on the back seat of a metallic blue Zephyr 6 and I was 11 years old, arms flying, cheering out of the window, along with many other English tourists on the road.
On the same holiday, my father had the misfortune to be involved in a slight accident with a German guy which resulted in my father being escorted by police to local hospital where the German guy shook my father's hand ....much to the surprise of the Spanish police and admitted that there was no blame.
