In 1966, as a 14 year old, I was on a school trip with Gravesend Technical School to Davos Switzerland.
We were staying in a hotel, which did not have televisions. For the final the manager of the hotel closed a lounge and allowed the teachers to hire a television so we invited the manager and a couple of his friends to join us.
Despite the fact that the Swiss were supporting West Germany all went well until the last goal went in. I recall several hats being thrown in the air one of which landed in the manager's lap. Our guests graciously congratulated us before beating a hasty retreat.
That night with our dinner, our usual carafes of water were replaced with bottles of grape juice to celebrate; well we were all under 18!
